Adopted Mancunian, I am French-born and originally from Colmar — where, little known fact, the Statue of Liberty comes from.
After adventuring around England for almost 25 years, I have found my way to Manchester just over 10 years ago.
Classical guitarist and composer, and a keen cook, I now subject my boyfriend and two cats to all my experimental creations.
I have always been a bit of a polymath and around 2010, he started making cold process soap bars and looked into what makes a cosmetic product, which at this point I wanted to demystify.
After naively popping into Neal’s yard and buying every essential oil they had, I realised that mixing random essential oils wasn’t going to yield very interesting of powerful results and that a more involved process — unbeknownst to me — was at play here. And an even more complex process of certification and following regulations.
I then started reading. A lot. After experimenting with aroma-chemicals, and befriending other more seasoned perfumers and endless experimentation for quite a few years, I created Blue first — which I was proud to wear for myself and that my partner actually started wearing daily. I then developed Green as I absolutely love heavy and oak-moss-based fragrances for myself, and wanted to make it shine.
I released both fragrances at a stall at Manchester Pride 2017 - and sold all of the bottles within a couple of days; the fact that others enjoyed what I created — and since came back to purchase more — was really humbling.
Needless to say, I still make those, and they are now back on the website.
I developed such a love for the process of creating fragrances as an independent perfumer. I want to carry on doing my own thing, I wouldn’t want to work for a large perfuming house and don’t care if my creations please absolutely everyone - I want to work on what I like.
Just knowing you like the fragrances I create, I will be at my happiest.
I consider all my fragrances to be unisex. If you like it, wear it. I also do not compromise on the quality of the materials — you can really tell the difference.
I am currently working on three new fragrances, to be released in 2022:
Looking forward to carrying on sharing my creations with you!
